Choose your item(s) and add to your basket. When you have finished shopping go to Checkout and complete with your details and payment. Once checkout is completed you will recieve an email confirming your order and details of where to send the hair (address also shown under contacts). Please check your spam box if you do not appear to have recieved the confirmation email.
When you send your hair remember to enclose your name and address and/or order number.
If you prefer to order off line then at the bottom of each product page is a link where you can print out an order form, fill in by hand and send with your hair and payment.
The horse hair can be taken from the horse in a number of ways.
To know how much hair is needed, click on the photograph of the item it is you are interested in and a second page about the product, with more details including amount of hair needed, will be displayed.
If possible please wash the hair prior to sending it but DO NOT use any conditioning shampoo or conditioners/detanglers, normal shampoo or washing up liquid is fine.
Tie the bundle of hair to prevent it separating and label with your details and horses name.
When the hair is braided it is done in exactly the state that it is sent to us (bar washing) – it is not treated or dyed in anyway, so may even still have some of your horses smell on it!
Please ensure that sufficient postage is paid when the horse hair is sent to us. This normally means a large letter stamp due to the thickness of the envelope. We do not accept items from the Post Office that have had insufficient postage paid on them, unless a £5 fee is paid to cover the Post Office fee, postage and collection. If in any doubt about the postage required for your package, please visit your post office or the Royal Mail website for advice.
Please clearly label your package with your name so we can match your horse hair up with your order.
If you would like an item making from the hair from more than one horse then there is no problem with this. Make sure the hair bundles are easily identifiable and put instructions into the special requests box on the order form.
If you require a different length of necklace or bracelet then put the details into the special requests box. There is no charge for this unless you require the length to be significantly longer than currently described. Any other queries then please do not hesitate to contact me.
With the move away from paper cheques, we now accept payment by Credit/Debit Card, PayPal or direct Bank Transfer. You can do this by using our on-line checkout. Please contact us if you prefer to order by post.
Delivery for horsehair jewellery items is 3 weeks from receipt of the horsehair. If you require an item sooner than this then we do offer an early delivery option for an extra £15, minimum 7 days turn around (subject to stock and engraving). Items that are posted back by recorded or special delivery so require a signature on receipt. Christmas time is obviously very busy, so we would recommend that if you are thinking about purchasing an item for Christmas you place your order in from September onwards. We cannot always guarantee a 3 week delivery at this time. Alternatively, gift certificates can be purchased.
