I bought Father Jerry as a 3 year old from Ireland. He was named after the priest who sold him. I nicknamed him "Ted" and brought him on.
I took him through the grades eventing and he was awesome. He was an incredibly intelligent horse but very naughty unless his brain was fully occupied. We had a unique partnership and he was a true 'one person' horse. I adored him and he carried me round some of the biggest tracks in the world including Burgley 4 star twice. We competed all over Europe and had enormous fun together.
I was devastated when the day came to say goodbye when he was desperately uncomfortable from chronic arthritis in his old age. he hated being old and retired and lived solely for competing.
I wrote a children's book in his memory and his legend lives on as 'A Tale of Ted' rapidly beoming a bestseller. I am truely grateful to alison for turning his hair into precious jewellery to remember him by.
Thank you, I will chersih it.
